The airfield is privately owned by the members of The Superlight Aircraft Club of WA (SLACWA). In order to fly regularly at Bindoon Hill Airfield and use the club facilities pilots need to be a member of SLACWA.

The focus of the club is to provide safe and affordable facilities for its members to promote recreational and sport aviation. Facilities include a 1,400 m long runway (09/27) of which 900 m is surfaced in bitumen, a clubhouse, showers and toilets. Extensive taxiways service the main runway and the private hangars. There is also a short emergency runway (14/32) of 350 m. Two areas are set aside for helicopter and drone operations. Currently there are over 45 hangars with another 20 hangar plots available for new development. The hangars serve as more than just storage for aircraft; many have workshops for maintenance and a few homely comforts. Overnight stays are permitted in accordance with the WA State camping regulations.

The Club provides a recently refurbished clubhouse where members catch up and share their experiences and news over the many Club-organised events such as the Annual Fly-in, BBQs, dinners and the annual bonfire night.

The Club runs on the goodwill of its members and owns and maintains extensive machinery including tractors, loaders, fire trucks and mowers. All members are expected to attend 2 busy-bees per annum where general maintenance on the airfield is undertaken.
